Scott Lauer provided strategic planning and project management services for this prototype project to design, purchase and install modular homes for families whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
The initiative:
helped eligible families in Union Beach, NJ return to resilient, durable homes
created an affordable demolition-to-reconstruction program model for families rebuilding with their insurance proceeds, government program grants and other funds
rebuilt the community using resilient and sustainable construction principles
created a comprehensive Project Guide to inform the rebuilding efforts of other towns affected by Hurricane Sandy
